Earning money from blogging isn’t easy. There is no get-rich-quick scheme involved and it takes a lot of hard work and effort to earn a good amount of income from a blog.

But it’s also not as complicated as it seems. There are many people who make their full time income blogging. While some are earning $2,000, some have gone up to earning $100,000 per month.

You can earn money writing about your interests from the comfort of your bed. What can be better than that?!

However, most bloggers don’t end up making much or any income from their blog. In order to earn money from your blog, you have to treat it like a business that makes you money. There are three main ways bloggers earn money from their blogging business.

1. Advertising

This is the most common, simple, and passive way to earn money from your blog. Some popular ones are Google Adsense, Mediavine, and AdThrive.

However, do not clutter your site with ads— this can turn off your readers. Keep it minimal. You can put some on the sidebars and a few in your actual content.

Make sure to put ads that are relevant to your niche. Your readers are most likely to click on those that are.

2. Affiliate Marketing

This is often the source of the largest chunk of money bloggers earn.

You basically refer your readers to products and services of other companies that you are an affiliate for. When your readers click on your links and decide to make a purchase, you earn a commission.

Some common affiliate networks are Amazon Associates, ClickBank, and ShareASale.

Keep in mind to promote products that you have used personally and/ or genuinely believe it will benefit the buyer.

3. Your Own Products

At one point in your blogging career, you will be able to create your own products and offer exclusive services for your readers.

They can be digital or physical products. Digital products include ebooks, online courses, and printables. Physical products can be books and other merchandise.

An ebook or email course is also a good lead for getting more email subscribers to your blog. It will keep your readers coming back for more awesome content!

Conclusion

It takes time to start earning a quality income from blogging. A lot of bloggers don’t earn anything for the first several months.

In the long term, however, with enough hard work and consistency, your blog can generate streams of passive income!

Blogging is one of the easiest way to nurture your passions and interests and gain financial freedom at the same time. You will make mistakes along the way, but remember why you started blogging in the first place and all the freedom and opportunities this journey can offer you.

Are you a blogger too?!
